Transfer of property means an act by which property is conveyed between living persons. 

The Transfer of Property Act deals with both the general principles and the law relating to the specific transfers of immovable property such as Sale, Mortgage, Charge, Lease, Exchange, Gift and transfers of Actionable Claims. Easement is an Incorporeal hereditament, involving a right capable of forming the subject-matter of a grant which is appurtenant to the land of one person and exercisable on the land of another.
